The most frequently pollutants analyzed are NOx, SO2, CO, CO2, VOC's and HCl. Additionally, some rulings for some industries also require the monitoring of NH3, H2S, HF and N2O. In all cases, these measurements must be done in compliance (in France) with the NF EN 14 181 standard.
Controlling emissions to maintain compliance with that standard (or its equivalents abroad) requires access to a rapid measurement methods that is reliable, insensitive to cross response and including built-in protocols of validation of the calibrations on a regular basis. Moreover, it is desirable, for economic reasons, that the technique requires as little maintenance as possible and that the sampling be as simple as possible.
The LaserCEM is the first laser infrared spectrometer capable to provide multi-component analysis in CEMs. When associated with ap2e's patented low pressure sampling technology, the final product represents a reliable, robust, easy-to-use apparatus with reduced associated operation cost constraints.
The laserCEM The ProCeas Pure Gases, based on the patented OFCEAS (Optical Feedback Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy) technology coupled to the patented low pressure sampling technology enables such measurements.
Measurement of any or all of these pure compounds and/or mixtures under these conditions:
- is reliable;
- is very low maintenance;
- is insensitive to cross response phenomena;
- has very low levels of detection;
- has response times measured in seconds;
- has a wide dynamic concentration;
- does not experience instrumental response drift (self-standardization);
- does not require regularly schedule re-calibration (self-calibrating direct measurement);
- does not require sample conditioning; and
- is a laser spectrometer capable of multi-components analysis.
